I don't think dropping your current sorority will directly hurt your chances if you go through recruitment next year. However, just realize that rushing as a sophomore, you may be automatically dropped by some sororities just because of your year. I think some sororities really only give bids to freshman. If you don't feel your current sorority is right for you after having given it a fair chance, drop it. Trust me. Don't do what I did and stay stuck in a sorority that you really don't like. Keep your grades up this year, get lots of volunteer hours, and be involved in clubs on campus!! These things are really important if you decide to go through rush again next year.
