Some fraternities are different on how selective they are in their rush strategies. KA and Sigma Nu usually shotgun a ton of bids early and are more generous towards legacies. Whereas Theta Chi and Fiji usually treat legacies as equals with any other rushee and are more strict on who they do and don't bid. The results are mixed. While KA and Sigma Nu are more likely to have lower quality classes, shotgun bidding can intimidate kids to accept at events and make ones that were going to hold more likely to accept under stress. On the other hand, strict bidding is more likely to yield better pledge classes, but at the same time could result in some early holds.
