They seemed to successfully manage in all the years prior to this one. To imply that there's a fairness issue when it comes to some PNMs "not having anyone there to support". I guess you're going to need special rules for Parent Weekend when so many don't have either parent attend because of travel challenges. This is another example of political correctness run amuck….fueled by a "everyone gets a trophy" mentality. These ladies are adults and can handle it. And Auburn handles crowds much bigger than the size crowd that Bid Day typically generates. It was a bad decision and regretful for everyone who was looking forward to the day playing out as it had last year, the year before that, etc., etc.
