Yes and no. You can if you become friends with a bro and he invites you to parties. Or if your friends are affiliated and know about the party you can likely tag along. However, and I’m speaking as someone in a top 3 frat, it’s not always proper etiquette to go to a party uninvited So if you come to a party and don’t show any willingness to make friends/put out, and you’re only there to drink the alcohol then it’s pretty disrespectful. My chapter spends $400+ a party and that is primarily for the bro’s and affiliated girls. We as a chapter dislike when non affiliated girls come to our parties, drink our alcohol, and show zero desire to even make connections with the guys or girls there. I also don’t like how gdi girls think they can get the social life perks of Greek life without actually joining a sorority. That’s unfair for everyone paying dues. If you want to party I urge you to join a sorority and get all the benefits. Otherwise if someone told me they’re a gdi at a party I honestly would stop talking to them. This is generally the mindset of my chapter. But obviously we’re not lacking when it comes to girls at parties. Maybe mid and lower frats who want more girls are more accepting towards unaffiliated girls. Idk.
