This site is dumb as hell but if you find yourself reading it and getting dragged under how toxic it is, I hope you can believe me when I say almost everyone I’ve met here in the UCI Greek community has been nice, fun, and supportive of me since I joined three years ago. I started college with depression and anxiety that became almost unbearable. I rushed because I thought “i need anything right now to keep me here a little longer literally anything to tie me down and get me out of this rut”. Greek life did that and more. It was a challenge because at times my anxiety would grow worse, or I started to get bogged down by the rumors and hate spread on places like these but the people I knew would always bring me back. At the end of the day, we are a community and we wanna support each other and grow as best we can despite how competitive it can get and how high emotions can run. If you’re thinking of rushing, don’t let this site or rumors stop you because you’re going to meet the most wonderful people across all chapters and grow so much if you at least try. And if you’re an active feeling burnt out by the culture and competition of rush week, remember what brought you here to begin with and how much you’ve grown from where you started. Good luck everybody and thank you for a great three years! I’m hoping to make this last one the dopest it can be with all of you!
