I'm with the guys above. First of all, as a prerequisite, you should be invited before you attend any Greek event (either by the frat/sorority who throws the event or approved by the frat/sorority who throws the event). It is common courtesy. Besides, why would you go somewhere you are not wanted? Second, while I agree some lower frats may be okay with it, you should still meet the prerequisite. If you are welcomed then it is different right? As someone who is poor and in Greek, I can tell you I have struggled financially to pay dues, but dues are not nearly as expensive as most frats/sororities in other schools. So if you want to attend these parties you should really join Greek. Or just join a school organization and party with them.
