Please be genuine and honest during the rush process. Its hard for us to figure out who you are in the space of a few days, and when we feel like you're putting up a front you usually just come off like a try-hard. Also, if you're seriously considering a fraternity, I would visit them during welcome week. See what they're like in an environment with alcohol, how they treat other people, and if you could get along well there. Don't be afraid to come by during the day to say hi, either. Most fraternities would welcome you with open arms.
