Dear High School Graduate and Transfer students, Congratulations on finally finishing those dreadful 4 years (or 2+ in CC), and joining us as Aggies at UC Davis! If you are reading Greek Rank, I think it is safe to say that you are interested in going Greek, and are curious as to what house you will want to join come recruitment season. Please, close this page, don't turn back, and just let yourself experience each house on your own. If you do keep reading, I hope you think about this: As individuals, we tend to fight the idea of being boxed into stereotypes. You aren't JUST a pretty blonde, you don't JUST listen spend your Friday nights drinking, you don't JUST play volleyball.... You get the point. Whatever it is that you do, however you identify yourself, you are unique. And well, so are we. Each of the chapters that we have here at Davis is unique. There are numerous councils, not just IFC and DCPA, that govern dozens of different greek organizations that have something different to offer you. Meet the people in the chapters. Go into it with an open mind. Please don't let "Frat Boys" (Notice I didn't say Fraternity men. Fraternity men have class. Men with class don't bash other people on the internet) tell you blindly that one house is better than another. We all deserve to get to know each other fairly. Welcome to Davis, Aggie. I really hope to meet you during recruitment this Fall.
