If you're a sophomore & want to be Greek go through informal rush rather than waiting for the winter formal recruitment. At least this way you'll only be up against other sophomores/some juniors instead of 400 freshmen (which the sororities prefer to take). The lower houses (PiPhi, AXO, KD, kinda AXD) always do informal rush and that's your best chance, they take a lot more upperclassmen. APhi/SK will take at most around 3, almost all of they people that get informal bids are friends of members or transfers. Everyone always mixes up informal recruitment & COB. Only the chapters that don't meet quota (PiPhi, KD, AXO) do COB and that's held after formal recruitment in the spring.
