I rushed only once, and I sometimes look back and laugh at how adamantly "independent" I was. I refused to wear any typical "sorority girl" outfits because I wanted to find a house that loved me for who I was. I wore converses for round one, and ratty ripped jean shorts for round 2. I still got a bid from my absolute favorite house. That being said, though, please try and be respectful in what you choose to wear. Now that I'm on the other side, and I've put so much effort into looking nice, it's kinda insulting when a PNM shows up looking like she just doesn't care. Be yourself, but be put together. We joke that recruitment is like speed-dating for girls, and you don't want your date to show up looking like they rolled out of bed and aren't at all excited to meet you!
