I was in the same situation last year. I am proud sister of a "lower tier" house. I was shocked last year on bid day and when I went to the house I smiled but inside I was crying and confused. I thought I had made a connection to the "top tier" house that I put first and I felt rejected. At first I did not go to the house as much as should have but a friend gave me some good advice and told me to stick with it. I have never been happier. I have made life long friends. I am a junior now and when I leave after next year and get on with my career it won't matter what tier my sorority was but what will matter are the good friends and sisters that I have. Stick with it.
