Subject:
new member of a lower tier sorority?

Poster Message:
how bad is it to be in a "lower tier" sorority (phi mu)? when i pref'ed i had one top tier, one mid, and one lower, and of course i ended up there even though i put them 3rd. they do seem like a wonderful, diverse group of girls but i never thought i would end up there so now i don't know what to do. i was never the type of person to judge by rankings and reps, but will this affect my greek experience? how is the UF chapter of phi mu? i was planning to be involved in a sorority starting freshman year but now i don't know whether i should stick through with it or drop and re-rush. how difficult/bad would it be if i chose to re-rush next year?
