"Diversity" is just a nice sounding way of saying "anyone who isn't white, or male". Inherently, it is damaging to the optimal functioning of an organization because it prioritizes skin color over competency and qualifications. What happened to judging people by the content of their character? If the optimal candidate happens to be "non-white", then so be it, they should be chosen, and you'd have naturally occurring diversity within a group and nothing would be compromised. Thinking that non-white people somehow need a "leg up" or a "crutch" to get into an organization is actually insulting to THEM, if you think about it logically. Why would you think that this is necessary, unless you hold the inherent belief that they are inferior, incapable, and too stupid to be able to fill a position based on their own merits? Furthermore, any non-white candidate in a DEI (DIE) promoting organization will forever be psychologically tormented wondering if they are there because they are capable, or if they are a pawn in some mass group-think political virtue-signal campaign. And all other members of the organization will additionally have an increased likelihood of not taking them seriously, for they will suspect the same, even if the candidate truly was the best pick. M
