Going through recruitment is emotional, stressful, and exhausting, but so worth it if you make the right choice. I think a lot of girls go into rush, go into it with the intention of finding their best friends while some others just care about being apart of a group of popular girls - both of these are OK!!!!! Stalk sorority instagrams, look at their women, figure out which ones you think you will vibe with - if you care about that. If you don’t care about go based off of followers - generally the more followers a sorority has on Instagram the higher profile they are in the Greek community. Sororities that post the same girls all the time come off as ‘hiding’ people - so also take that into consideration. A lot of PNMs make the mistake of picking a house for the wrong reasons. If you are a pretty girl who is also weird - a top house is NOT for you. They will judge you and make you feel like an outsider. That being said if you are a put-together, beautiful girl and you end up in a mid tier sorority like Pi Phi, Theta, or DZ you will probably hate it don’t accept the bid and wait for a Snap bid or COB. If all you care about is a title ignore all of this - but if you actually care about the friendships you make in your sorority go with the house that makes you feel like you can be the most you. From now up until you make your final preference list be observant. Be a stalker on insta and watch the girls around you and your recruiter at each house - the more you know will make your decision easier and more meaningful. Make the most out of the recruitment, you could meet your forever friends!
