While we're all on the subject of hoco apparently, thought I'd share a story which might shed some light on why srats are not putting much emphasis on events with frats when this is how they treat them. Not going to share chapter names, but it was during hoco week at a woodser event. On the bus ride, guys were playing loud music with racial slurs, singing along loudly and then using the "n" word in conversations...ignorant to the fact that not only was it offensive, there was a girl "of color" on that bus. At the event, guys seemed to spend more time having bro-time than actually mingling. Then on the way home, when some girls went to go back to their seats where they had left their belongings (everyone leaves their items at their seats when they arrive), guys were sitting in their seats, had moved their things and told them they'd have to find new seats, so the girls, not wanting to be rude and take a sister's seat, had to try to find somewhere to sit on a different bus. Then, the guys proceeded to tear into and eat most of the snacks provided, no ladies first or anything or guests go first... So when you make posts shaming houses for not pairing with certain frats, they just might know a little more about them than you do.
