I am from out of state and got into a top house. The issue is getting noticed. I got recs but I know many don’t. We look at everyone going through so recs, social media and the video have to be great. You are marketing yourself. Top houses make huge cuts before we even meet you. It does help to know people but they need to like you and it can hurt you too for that reason
