Last year KD did snaps for sure. But this is impossible to predict. Snaps will be done Thursday and the girl will show up on lawn w everyone else. You will never know she was a snap unless she tells you. These are usually picked from list of girls who dropped out of rush or got cut entirely. But the girls who get snaps to “top” houses usually went there through round 3. COB is also kinda random. If they have spots open up (a new member drops or an older sister goes early alum etc), they may offer COBs. These are given to people who have some connection to chapter already. So you might be offered a COB to a chapter where you’ve connected really well with a sister in another org or you know from home. These are also not really advertised. Spring rush is actually similar at most houses to COB. It’s less about inviting anyone and everyone to come to parties and more about them pulling in a few girls to bring their numbers up to panhellenic average. Last year Tri Delt and DG did it but that was really rare. Usually it’s KKG, XO, AXO, Pi Phi, Phi Mu, Dz, Gamma Phi, SK. Alpha Phi takes in new people fairly frequently bc they are new on campus and still getting established. You absolutely cannot count on spring rush unless you’re working to make connections with houses on the above list you want to pledge. Spring pledge classes might be 2-20 girls, but are usually pretty small. So if you are preffing at some of these houses and hoping for a spring bid to say ZTA, this is highly highly highly unlikely.
