i agree with everything OP said but if you make/have friends in certain houses and are potentially a strong PNM as a sophomore (more involved, higher GPA), there is certainly a chance you can get a bid at a "better ranked" sorority. however, this is the only way i can see that happening... no one likes a social climbing tryhard. and while ik a handful of girls who did rush better the next year, PLS PLS PLS for the love of god, don't get fixated on 1 or 2 houses, especially the top tiers.... you WILL be disappointed. give the houses on your schedule a chance, those are the houses that can see you in their sisterhood. the top chapters here at UF are great (in fact, all UF chapters are!) but they're not perfect ! no chapter is! every chapter has its flaws and its strengths and please consider that when you're rushing. do not get caught up with the appearances of rush and pay attention to the houses that WANT YOU!!!!!
