No, bringing a new chapter onto campus is a lengthy process. invitations go out to Panhellenic organizations that are not currently at UF. Chapters that are interested in colonizing will submit a packet to Panhellenic for review. Usually the top three contenders are brought to campus for a presentation to the Greek community. Feedback is given and normally one chapter is selected to colonize. Two years ago this process took place and the top three contenders were Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Phi, and Phi Sigma Sigma. Due to ever increasing numbers, Panhellenic took the unusual step to invite two chapters to colonize; Gamma Phi Beta last year and Alpha Phi next year. That will bring the total number of chapters to 18 at UF. Panhellenic and the national organizations invest a lot of time, effort, and money into new chapters. To ensure a healthy system, I doubt another chapter will colonize for a very long time. I'm talking DECADES.
