Unfortunately active sister in house legacy factors in more than sister who graduated a few years ago, mother, aunt, active sister in another chapter at different university. A few years ago, a legacy of a national sorority officer was cut by a chapter at UF...unfortunately for them, by making the cut they lost a large contribution that was coming their way. Disagree with the statement by legacy that there "are too many legacies to consider." If quota is 80 and recruitment started with close to 2000(?), only 1,360 ladies are joining sororities. I understand that some ladies choose not to return to their legacy sorority BUT I do not believe each chapter has 80 legacies pledging their sorority. UF Retention rate throughout recruitment is around 68% - which would earn a D in most classes. Check out retention rates at other SEC schools such as Alabama, Arkansas and you will see that Florida Pan recruitment fails.
