They use your name... Like most people when trying to find someone on social media. You give your name and hometown and a picture so it's not hard. I've found someone on facebook when I was only given a first name and generic place of work (ie panera). I know my chapter starts skimming when the applications come in. It's not a make or break thing, just to get a better feel of who you are and who you might pair well with in the sorority. It also lets us look for red flags like alcohol pictures, crazy partying, etc. Otherwise it's more of a guide and reference than something that actually factors into a decision.
