The bottom of the list, including DG, and especially ZTA and DDD have taken some heat on this today. A .3 spread between sororities is not huge (although I don't know for sure what GPhiB's gpa was, haven't seen the newest breakdown), but that is about the same spread which distinguishes the all Greek average gpa from the UF average gpa. The fact that the all Greek gpa is even just a little bit higher than UF's average is something Greeks are very proud of. So in that instance, .3 is big. Since college is supposed to primarily be about learning, I can see why some PNM's take this gpa thing seriously. With that said though, if you were a good student before joining a sorority, you will likely remain a good student after you join any chapter & you may even become a much better one. A lot of chapters have developed great academic support programs/resources over the years that can really help you out and give you an advantage over the average student. Another plus for going Greek!
