It does vary by sorority, and heads up first semester dues are larger than the following semesters because you'll have to pay for your badge (they're expensive because they're usually made of gold and have pearls or gems in them but it's a one time cost). Excluding the first semester most sororities fall somewhere in the $350-$600 range if I'm remembering correctly, but compared to really big state schools where dues are can be thousands a semester this isn't too bad. The Greek Life Office can also offer financial assistance if you demonstrate high financial need. The dues you pay generally help with material costs for philanthropy events, and pay for venue/transport to social events like date nights or formals. Hopefully this helps, but they will explain costs and give you exact numbers at recruitment orientation (the Wednesday before formal recruitment weekend). Last year they gave us a little pamphlet that listed each sorority, the cost of their dues, and a few facts about the sorority.
