Fraternities Theta chi-1986 Pi kapp-1991 Delta tau delta- 2004 Kappa sigma-2006 Delta chi-2008 Pike-2011 KA-2015 (just chartered this spring) Sororities Dphie-1989 Phi mu-1989 Gamma phi-2008 Aoll-2010 KD-2012 Zta-2014 For sororities it seems as though a new one is chartered every 2 years, Alpha Xi Delta will break that cycle when it is founded in 2015 after Zta. That is if it gets the numbers it needs, which it will. For fraternities the delt's, kappa sig's and delta chi were the only fraternities that were able to charter in the 2 year cycle as sororities have been. They're announced in the fall after the other fraternity charters and comes on the following fall and charters. Both Pike and KA took an extra year or semester to charter. When people say its harder to start a frat here and think southern poly will struggle that's what they mean. But they already have members from their school ready to help charter and affiliate s i thin it wont be that bad.
