This whole "Southern Strength" thing has nothing to do with how an organizations perceived as a whole on a national level. The South is SMALL in comparison to the rest of the country. I know many women who would LOVE to see Alpha Phi and many who'd LOVE to see ChiO! They's both do great here. APhi on is more known everywhere though which makes it more alluring to me(as opposed to just the south), and they have had extreme success in recent extensions at LSU and Ole Miss. I'd like to see them here!
