<strong>Subject:</strong><br />sig ep charter revoked<br /><br /> Poster Message:
www.al.com/news/anniston-gadsden/index.ssf/2015/10/jsu_fraternitys_charter_revoke.html The above link is the recent article stating the Sip Ep IHQ has recvoked the Jacksonville State Charter of Sig Ep. Article states..... Jacksonville State University's chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon is no more, following a revocation of its charter over hazing allegations. No official charges resulted from the allegations, but the local chapter was informed this month that its charter was revoked. Members have been moving out of the on-campus fraternity house this week. There has been no official comment on what members were accused of doing to warrant the decision. Some members have also stated on social media that they do not know what the allegations were. Buffy Lockette, JSU public relations director, said the house would probably be offered to another on-campus organization. Members are being relocated to other housing. "This was a decision made by the fraternity's national chapter," she said. The fraternity could reapply for its charter in three years with the national chapter, but would also have to reapply with the university. On the fraternity's Facebook page, reaction ranged from anger to resignation. One member stated that the fraternity might lose its house, but "you can't take our brotherhood and the memories we've made as friends and brothers."
