I did rush this past semester and I think you should do informal if you can. Informal is much better than formal and less intense. I think you should try because you never know what can happen. I am happy where I am and I love my sisters. I think that it is harder for juniors, because the sororities already have their classes picked out. They are looking for mostly freshmen because of finding a new class. There is still a chance though and I think you should go for something that you want. If you do not make it or do not like it, that is fine because you are not the only one it happened to.
