I believe that ALL sororities can cut legacies, but they have different rules as to how and when they release a legacy, and if they get to prefs, where they put them on the bid list. Go to each sorority's national website to find out the info, that is the safest thing to do. It isn't like the 70's and 80's where you were pretty much an automatic in as a legacy, in case your mom is telling you that. Also, different sororities have different rules as to what constitutes a legacy. Some only include mom and sister, some include grandmother, mom, step-mom, sister, so that might be important to know also. That being said, your best bet is to keep an open mind as you go through recruitment, you might find that there are other sororities that you like better than your legacy one. All the sororities at OSU have some really wonderful women! Good luck!!
