during recruitment I had girls that asked my major, and if one of my parents were that, and when I said no they'd ask what they did to see if it was a high salary job. this isnt the case for all houses, but there are a few who it really matters to, some who are genuinely carrying on conversation, and others who just wanted to insure that I could afford it.
