Honestly I would look into step houses first. One of the things about a step house is that food is proved for you. Also, the rent will be much cheaper than non-step/frat houses. My boyfriend lives in a university owned house and pays no more than 500 a month, and that would include the food, utilities, and more. Most places off campus you can hardly find for less than 500 a month just in rent alone. Plus, the dorms would still be more expensive.
