1. The good thing about Ohio State is that are enough chapters to fill different roles and to cater to different preferences. A lot of people on here will say that any chapter that isn't Phi Psi or Sigma Chi is "irrelevant" without taking into consideration at all that there are plenty of guys who wouldn't fit into those chapters or who would never want to join them. 2. If you're an attractive guy with a decent personality you will still do well with girls no matter what chapter you are in. Solid mid tier chapters have multiple social events a week just like their top tier counterparts. So it's not like if you're not a "top tier" fraternity you are going to have no opportunities to talk to girls or attend socials. The difference is that these socials will mostly be with mid-tier sororities. 3.Depending on your perspective SAE is either a mid tier or upper mid tier fraternity. While they have improved socially they are still very much overshadowed in this area by the core top tier fraternities and to a lesser Delt. I would say SAE's tend to be "nice guys" as opposed to guys that you see on TFM. Cliff Notes: 1. Different chapters fill different roles, one person's ideal chapter might be another person's nightmare 2. You will talk to girls/party whether you are in a top or mid tier chapter. 3. SAE is a moderately social chapter on the upswing. Not for everyone but definitely not awful as suggested by this site.
