It's not impossible to get a bid as a Sophomore, but your chances are reduced. For example, if you would have landed in a top tier as a Freshman, the best you can probably do as a sophomore would be a mid tier. Upper and middle tiers place a limit on the number of upper classmen they will take. It's part of their membership selection so we can't tell you if it is an exact number or percentage that goes on their first bid list or if their overall score is influenced by class rank. Think very hard about pledging this year.
