It simply means which chapters a PNM attends during the Pref Round. For example, people say that top tier PNMs typically cross pref Kappa, PBP and DG. HOWEVER, very few PNMs have a "typical" (or logical) cross pref. I knew one girl that went Alpha Phi that cross preffed with XO and AZD. Another that went DG cross preffed KD and AOPi. It can be all over the place so don't listen to anyone.
