football blocks are large parties before home games. Either at a fraternity annex or a fraternity house. The bigger fraternities and sororities each have a pairing (phi psi + kappa, tke + pi phi, etc). Smaller fraternities will have blocks that are "open" for all greek people to go to, although lots of girls go to different blocks that they aren't paired with if they don't like their pairing or just want to go to multiple parties. Only guys that are in the fraternity are allowed to go to their respective blocks.
