I'm in a sorority, and i'd recommend girls do it. but for frats like kappa sig, phi psi, teke i think it will be in your best interest to talk to early, because their rush has been very competitive (sig chi has also to an extent). but if you can't, i'm sure it won't hurt you too badly in the long run.
