Hey guys, I am a freshman that just finished formal recruitment. It did not pan out at all in the way I expected it to, but I really wanted to end the process by receiving a bid and so I went all the way to pref. I did not end up receiving a bid. I truly feel like Greek life could be a fit for me, I am just very unconfident after what happened to me during formal and I believe that I am one of those girls that just “slip through the cracks.” Is going through informal awkward after going through formal since all the houses have already cut me once? If I got a bid would the members treat me as “less” because I didn’t match with them through the formal process? Is it hard to get invited to individual houses recruitments? How competitive of a process is it to get a bid? Thank you so much for helping me out!
