Its unfortunate but the other house that invited you for pref thought y would be a good fit amd saw something in you and so it's sad when pnms dont take a chance with them. I would try for informal like was said it can be hard but there are sometimes sororities that take people even without invitation if you're open minded, it's hard to get a bid as a junior, but not impossible. If greek life is really what u want I would be open minded and try informal at every place even if it includes the house u didnt think would fit. No matter where u join you will find your group.
