FIrst off, in neither a PNM nor in a top tier and I wouldn’t want to be - but I do have friends in those chapters. Also, the “thousands” of dollars spent never would have gone to socials anyways? Sisterhood events exist, pledge events exist, and you can hang out without a formal event. I mean, do you seriously think probation means a sorority does literally nothing? You can still make friends in your new chapter and pledge class without mixers with frats. But I’m sorry if you were only able to bond with your pledge class while getting drunk underage in some dirty frat basement. Plenty of PNMs have joined when a house was still on probation and they made friends and had a good time just fine. One semester out of seven without TGs isn’t exactly torture...
