Obviously nothing wrong with choosing not to join Greek life, but since you mentioned finding it exhausting and superficial, I'd recommend informal if you want to take another crack at it. It's so much less stressful, you go to less houses and not all on the same day, and conversations tend to be better (as actives, informal can seem superficial because of the structure and topics we have to cover). Of course, that's only if you're still considering joining. Do what works best for you! There's plenty of other groups at OSU, including service and professional Greek Letter Organizations.
