Hi! I’m in Phi Rho so am obviously biased toward it, but also want everyone going through recruitment to find the chapter that fits them the best- sometimes it’s phi rho sometimes it isn’t. I also went through formal recruitment and ultimately decided Phi Rho would be the better fit for me. The 79 member number is inaccurate as we have closer to 90 girls, and usually around 10 on co-op each semester which brings the active number slightly down. Also, we try to support people on co-op by sending them cute notes and small gifts so they know we are thinking of them while they are gone. Personally I like that we are a little smaller because I know everyone really well (and I only joined last semester) and the sisterhood is really strong sisterhood. There’s a great mix of girls who like to go out at least 3 times a week to girls who spend a lot of time studying. We do events with fraternities (TGs, block, pregames etc) and have formals and date parties just like any other sorority. We do sisterhood retreats, big little pairings, apparel, ritual, philanthropy events and everything else. I really like having sisters in my classes as study buddies, being able to ask older members what they think of a prof or getting super cheap handmedown textbooks from them. If you are curious about them then I would say it’ wouldn’t hurt to go to some of the Phi Rho recruitment events and get a feeling for it. If you want to talk to someone who knows more our recruitment chair is really nice so you could email her or message our social media accounts and someone can put you in touch with her. Good luck going through recruitment and I hope you find your fit wherever it may be! :)
