New chapters have something that more established chapters often lack—lots of excitement. If they use their newness and enthusiasm to their advantage, they’ll do okay. And you forget they aren’t “new” as in no contacts or alumnae help. They’ll have tons of help and lots of legacies going through. They may or may not do well—it’ll be interesting to see how they compete. I am sure of one thing—they will be well-prepared for their first true recruitment,
