Subject:
pnm's wanting to go top tier

Poster Message:
Alright PNM's I'm going to say this with your best interests in mind but with honesty. A strong majority of girls start off rush wanting to be in one of the top tier houses (aphi/pi phi/ Dg) and each house will take a pc anywhere between mid 50's to high 60's depending on what quota is this year (i don't know the number personally as I don't work with recruitment numbers). A VERY small percentage of you will actually get a bid to one of these three. These houses are popular for a reason, they are going to be good at having "good conversations" but please keep in mind that we work very hard to make sure every PNM that walks through our doors leaves wanting to come back. That being said, you do not get much of a say in which houses you go back to, the houses do more of the dropping. The only way you go back to a house is if that house WANTS you to come back AND you are high enough on the cutoff list. Because of the way recruitment works some houses will be aloud to drop more girls earlier in the process ( ie; top tier). This also allows houses to narrow down girls they think fit their specific chapter's vibe very early. If you do not go back to a house you thought you loved it is not a reflection on you or who you are as a person, it just means the numbers didn't work out. With this information in mind, the best thing you can do during recruitment is to go into every house with a smile and a positive attitude and really see what vibes for you. When it's time to make your lists at the end of each day listen to your gut feeling about each house. Every chapter at this school has something to offer and you will find friends in any chapter if you truly want to make it work. You are not too good for any chapter and at the end of the day tiers don't even really matter.
