Coming from someone who was dropped from all the houses during formal after sisterhood round, I want you to really understand and accept that you may end up being dropped from all houses. Accept that, but don’t let it define you. Some girls slip through the cracks and sometimes you just ended up with someone you shouldn’t be paired with. I do say trust the process. I hated it and it hurt me so badly when I was going through it, but because of that, I ended up finding my chapter in another way and finding my place to call home. I found out the morning of sisterhood that of the 4 houses I had during philanthropy, all but one dropped me, including the one I pictured myself in and thought about all week. It was tough. I tried forcing myself to love the house i had left, but I couldn’t, and I got cut from them too. It’s hard, but I truly believe there’s a fit to everyone in Greek life who wants to be part of it for the right reasons. If you do get dropped, you may be called back for bid day anyways (via snap bids), or may get a bid during informal this semester or in the spring, or maybe you’re meant to be a founder of Kappa or a member of an associate chapter. If you get cut, it’s okay to be upset. Don’t let it define you. You’ll find your home if your heart is in the right place.
