Depends on the house. I think all but one chapter here are required to give legacies an invitation to sisterhood round and then they can drop you after that. Some chapters are pressured to never drop legacies more than others, but all houses can still drop legacies if they want to. Some chapters also require that legacies who attend preference round be at the top of the bid list. So it helps, but usually if you already fit in with that house to begin with.
