That's a really good explanation of what we do as actives. And it's definitely not all based on looks and GPA. How well you fit in is really the deciding factor at most if not every chapter. As for keeping an open mind, I'm not sure how that applies to the sororities. Plenty of actives might be sad if their rush crush doesn't come back to their house, but they get over it pretty quickly. The thing to understand is we meet way more PNMs than you meet actives, and our nights are so much longer so most of us don't have time to focus on just one PNM. It's an exhausting few weeks and we just want to make it to Bid Day too. It kind of sounds like you're looking for some secret reveal but honestly there really isn't one. It's pretty straightforward.
