It doesn’t matter your major, but as long as you have a 3.0 you’ll be fine except for chi o and theta (3.5 to be safe). I️ will say that sororities are primarily business, coms, and education majors so it can be hard for engineering and other “hard majors” to relate to their sisters sometimes in terms of school. I️ say this as a junior engineering student in a sorority. For example, a lot of my sisters won’t understand when you have to sell your football ticket to study for an exam that isn’t until that Thursday or Friday or can’t go out as often as them on weeknights, and you really can’t compare your classes without sounding rude even though you know it’s true that for the most of the time the material is harder and you can’t rely on studying a day or two in advance to do well. Also, you won’t always have study buddies in your classes like they say you will during recruitment. That’s true for the more popular majors, but The few girls in my chapter who are engineering or pre professional or whatever tend to be the only girls in my sorority in those classes. If you’re worried about your major and being in a sorority consider something like phi sigma rho or delta omega kappa because you’ll have more girls you’re able to relate to and study with if that’s a concern. Not saying I️ don’t like my sorority, I️ just wish I️ realized the time commitment and how few other girls would me in any of my classes before I️ went through and I️ would’ve considered phi rho more. I️ will also add that a lot of girls in stem majors end up dropping because of the time commitment required by both their sorority and school, so that fact may hurt you for some chapters, but not your gpa as long as you have a 3.0.
