When Sorority Sue asks "what is your major?" you answer correctly/politely (such as "I will study psychology") then immediately add (if true) "and I had the chance to attend a summer seminar on new ways of counseling teens with depression that had me in awe of the subject". Then let Sorority Sue ask you "where was your seminar?" and go from there. Don't just give way too brief ("yes" and "no") answers, instead add a bit of convo that prompts Sorority Sue to ask you further Qs.
