Honestly, a lot of it is hearsay so it can be hard to prove/defend. And I think some PNMs misinterpret what an active is saying as promising a bid. That being said, one of our new members from informal recruitment last year said GPhi promised her a bid and then cut her. So I know reports have been made about it, but there are reports for most sororities every year tbh. Not a big deal or a scandal at all. Usually just new recruiters not understanding what is and isn't appropriate.
