PHA resets total in the fall due to graduation. Some sororities will then be under total and may either 1.) do open events, or 2.) invite a few girls they already know. If they aren't too far under total, they may not do any recruiting at all. Those that have open house events will usually have two or three events where you talk to several girls. You can come and go as you please. After their open events are complete, they do one or two invite-only rounds before giving out bids. Each chapter may be a little different, but that's the general overview.
