<strong>Subject:</strong><br />Rushing as a junior<br /><br /> Poster Message:
I'm going to be a junior at Oregon State and I am on the side on whether to participate in rush this fall. I went to a community college my first two years. I heard that sophomore year is the last year most houses would take you. Is there any truth to that claim at all? How much does a rushee's year impact their chances of receiving a bid at any house? I'm interested in joining Greek life to gain more friends and connections, because my social life after high school has sucked. I want to make the most of the rest of my time in college and get involved in something meaningful and bigger than myself rather than just sit indoors and only focus on school and homework all the time. I've always been shy/introverted and I feel like joining a fraternity would be a great way to break out of my shell more often. Any advice and tips would be helpful!
